Maria serves as the President and chief advisor, advocate and coach at Transcend PM. Her primary work involves coaching and consulting to members of the financial services industry—both individuals and larger organizations. She ensures that our clients achieve the highest levels of success and satisfaction throughout their engagement with Transcend PM.

Drawing on over 20 years of experience solving business management issues, Maria creates organic growth for our industry partners as she helps them to eliminate obstacles and solve vexing problems. She is a highly experienced practice management leader, recognized throughout the industry for helping financial advisors design, grow, and transform their businesses. Maria ensures that Transcend PM brings clarity and coherence to a new path forward as we work to transform our clients’ business landscape, all the while keeping their ultimate vision in mind.

Prior to founding Transcend PM, Maria spent twenty years at Commonwealth Financial Network, where she served as Senior Vice President of the Practice Management division. In this role, she supported a field of over 2,000 independent financial advisors with tens of billions of dollars under management. Maria led a team of 15 managers, business consultants, and support staff in providing high-touch, customized business consulting solutions and coaching programs. Year-over-year, 95% of advisors who engaged in these services chose to contract additional engagements.

Maria has also created coaching programs focusing on strategic habits, succession planning, business vision, and development of next gen leadership talent. She has provided strategic direction to enhance and evolve practice management consulting services, and was selected to consult with the firm’s top 5% of advisors, each of whom had $150,000,000 or more in assets under management. This resulted in firm-driven growth rates of up to 10% per year. Maria served as the face of Practice Management at conferences, on industry panels, radio interviews, and in publications.

One of Maria’s favorite areas of specialty is helping female financial advisors grow and succeed. She designed, created, and delivered the highly acclaimed inaugural Summit for Women Advisors, rated as one of the top conferences ever held at Commonwealth; she received the firm’s Impact Award in recognition of that achievement. Maria has designed innovative content for women advisors to help them network, mentor, and connect, resulting in 8% annual growth in recruiting and retention rates at Commonwealth.

Maria earned a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College and an MBA from Boston University. She is a trained iPEC Certified Professional Coach, as well as a Certified Kolbe and Predictive Index analyst. She holds the FINRA 6, 26, 63 licenses. When not building her new company, Maria engages in charity work, serving on the board of The Nature Connection and as a Corporator of Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House. She enjoys hiking with her dogs in nature, reading the classics, and joining in her husband’s creative pursuits in music and film.
